The tournament is the first leg in the Swedish Grand Prix 2019/2020 organized by the Swedish Chess Federation. Besides the major group the is also a minor group for players with FIDE rating below 1600.

On Friday 12:00 there will be a simultanous exhibition by GM Alexei Shirov limited to 25 players.

A limited number of free hotel rooms are offered to players with a GM title.
