Who can participate?
Non-Swedish players are allowed to participate in "Schack-SM" if they are registred for another federation abroad.
Sections open for non-Swedish players are Mästarklassen, Klass I, II, III & IV, Veteran Allmän and Weekendturneringen. The Elo or Swedish national rating required to qualify for Mästarklassen is 2150, for Klass I it is 2000 and for Klass II it is 1800. Players who does not meet these requirements are placed in Klass III. For players without Swedish rating or Elo, the strength of play will be estimated by the organisers on basis of the national rating.
Time control and schedule
The main tournaments will be played July 3-9, with one game per day. Mästarklassen and Veteran Allmän is played according to the Swiss system, and the other groups as round robins. See the full invitation for more information. In the main tournaments, each player has 120 minutes each, and adds 60 minutes after move 40.

The weekend tournament will be played July 9-11, as a round robin with six players, grouped after rating. There is one game on the first day and two games each on the remaining days. Each players has 90 minutes, and adds 30 minutes after move 40.
Accomodation
Grand Hotell and Hotell Lundia in Lund city centre offer very advantageous prices for chess players. Single rooms cost 450 SEK / night, double rooms cost 650 SEK / night and a double room with an extra bed 850 SEK.
